Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use Farragut Residents Directory. By continuing to use the reference, you agree to them. Do not use it if you do not agree.

1. Nature of the Reference

Farragut Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to public rolls, indexes, and historical collections relevant to Farragut, Knox County, and Tennessee. It does not host government records and is not connected to a government office, court, library, or records custodian.

2. Lawful Use Rules

Use this reference only for lawful purposes. You may not use it, or information reached through it, to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft or fraud
  • Make FCRA-regulated decisions involving credit, employment, housing, insurance, or a similar covered purpose
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
  • Interfere with the site's operation or security

3. No Consumer Reports

Farragut Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. §1681 et seq. Neither this reference nor a linked tool supplies a consumer report. Do not use any material here to determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.

4. Outside Resources

Government portals and independent services, including sponsored-result providers, publish their own terms and policies. We do not control their content, availability, fees, or data practices.

5. No Warranty

The reference is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties. We do not promise that information is complete, accurate, or current, or that an external portal will remain available or return a correct result.

6. Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages connected with use of this reference or an outside resource, including a decision made from information reached through it.

7. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operators from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your misuse of the reference or violation of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The reference's original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page or quoting a brief attributed excerpt is permitted. Republishing full pages or systematically copying content is not.

9. Revisions to These Terms

We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here. Continued use after publication accepts the revision.

10. Restricting Access

We may block or limit access without notice when a user violates these terms or abuses the reference.

11. Tennessee Law

Tennessee law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The Tennessee Public Records Act, T.C.A. §§10-7-501 through 10-7-516, including the access rule in §10-7-503, governs qualifying public-record requests made to government custodians. It does not turn this private reference into a custodian.

12. Severability

If a provision of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.
